White cabinets are not always boring. With the right cabinet hardware and kitchen accessories, a kitchen with white cabinets can become the most luxurious, elegant and modern kitchen.
How to paint cabinets in the kitchen? Painting cabinets is tricky, but not difficult. There are two options available if you wish to have a kitchen with white cabinets.
This may seem to be the easiest option, but there are a number things that must be taken into consideration in order to be successful using this option.
This option involves painting the cabinets without removing the doors. In this scenario, the kitchen counter, walls and floor must be covered to prevent the dripping paint for creating a huge mess. Covering can be done using old newspaper, plastic or old fabric.
Although this options seems easier, it not the most efficient. Getting to all the corners and crevasses of the cabinets, such as the area where the hinges are, will be a challenge. Even if they are successfully painted, they often tend to smudge at some point when the cabinet is opened or closed during the drying process.
Option 2 involves removing the cabinet doors and painting them outside on the porch or in the garage. This eliminates the need to cover the countertop, walls and flooring inside the kitchen. When the cupboards are dry, they can be taken back inside and screwed back into place. There is less messy, and there will be no struggle to reach any of the corners and crevasses.
