Safe Prefab Stairs Design

Prefab stairs are available in a number of different materials. Wood, metal, concrete and steel staircases are very common. However, wood tends to be the most popular, probably due to its versatility and elegance. When choosing a staircase solution for your home, whether indoor or outdoor, you must choose a quality product from a reputable manufacturer that is durable and safe.

There are many different types of wood that can be used for staircases, according the homeowner’s taste and the decor theme of the house. They may be used inside or outdoor, but will require special chemical treatment to be used outside. Although straight wooden stairs are common, spiral or curved staircases are often used. Walnut, cherry, oak and mahogany are commonly used for wood stairs.

Prefab concrete stairs are especially useful outdoors. They will stand up to the elements and require little or no maintenance. Concrete stairs are unlikely to break if they are constructed well, and they certainly will not rust like metal and steel staircases do. In addition, concrete stairs will not rot or be eaten away by termites. They can be made to look beautiful with the addition of paint and outdoor tiles.
